It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything here. Life has been crazy busy, planning a wedding, Sedef and I fostered 3 baby kittens, started a record label, http://gravitasrecordings.com, visited Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, started taking piano lessons, had the 9th Annual Brede Bash with Zeale, Ill-Esha, Kid Slyce, The Pinch and myself.

I’m going to be working on a new mix this week so stay tuned for that.

Check out these two videos of Matt Shadetek talking about the Creative Process. I especially like the parts about artists having a conversation with their audience. If you create a track or piece and it’s not well received, the best thing to do is to get back on the horse and keep going. Don’t let that be your last word.

I’ve been jamming this one hard for the last few weeks. I’m a big big big ole fan of tracks that double time their BPM, in this case 87 BPM to 174 BPM. Also, who can resist the Daft Punkish synth / bassline.

The Glitch Mob remix Daft Punk’s – Derezzed

I really enjoyed Tron. Yes, the story wasn’t mind blowing like inception but visually and more importantly to me, the sound track and score was amazing. There may or may not have been a plan all along for there to be a remix album. I remember reading from the GM that Disney had given a nod to the unofficial remix video that someone did using the Tron trailer with the Mob’s music. Maybe it was that video that set the wheels in motion. Either way, check out the video that Khameleon8080 did for The Glitch Mob’s remix of the Daft Punk’s Derezzed from the Tron Soundtrack. I suggest picking up the entire album as there are some nice tunes on their including a surprisingly good tune from the Crystal Method who I’m not the biggest fan of these days.

Also, instead of posting a pic from Tron or the Glitch Mob, here’s a pic of Olivia Wilde who I think has one of the most amazing faces in Hollywood and is a kind soul and has helped massively in Haiti for the last year.
