The Glitch Mob remix Daft Punk’s – Derezzed

I really enjoyed Tron. Yes, the story wasn’t mind blowing like inception but visually and more importantly to me, the sound track and score was amazing. There may or may not have been a plan all along for there to be a remix album. I remember reading from the GM that Disney had given a nod to the unofficial remix video that someone did using the Tron trailer with the Mob’s music. Maybe it was that video that set the wheels in motion. Either way, check out the video that Khameleon8080 did for The Glitch Mob’s remix of the Daft Punk’s Derezzed from the Tron Soundtrack. I suggest picking up the entire album as there are some nice tunes on their including a surprisingly good tune from the Crystal Method who I’m not the biggest fan of these days.

Also, instead of posting a pic from Tron or the Glitch Mob, here’s a pic of Olivia Wilde who I think has one of the most amazing faces in Hollywood and is a kind soul and has helped massively in Haiti for the last year.

I’m completely in love with this woman, her voice is amazing. On stage, she commands your attention in a sensual and completely genuine manner. I first heard her on Bonobo’s last album, “Black Sands” and she captured my attention. Her new album, ‘Lost Where I Belong’, which is produced by Bonobo was released on August 23rd by Ninja Tune. Andreya Triana has been featured on some quality tracks and albums over the past few years, and worked with Flying Lotus, Kid Kanevil, Mr. Scruff, Theo Parrish, Natural Self, Aaron Jerome, TM Juke And The Jack Baker Trio, Homecut and Fink! Watch the videos and you’ll be a fan, see her live and you’ll be in love.

Whilst Ninja Tune is hellbent on making its 20th anniversary celebrations memorable to say the least, they’re also intent on signing the artists that will keep them going another 20 years. Eskmo is one of the latest of these; a young artist deeply rooted in the resurgence of electronic music, with the vision and talent to write songs that defy genre and could only be his own. I’m always a fan of The Do Lab. This years Lucent L’Amour looks like it was major success. With performances from Bassnectar, Ana Sia, Beats Antique the music line up was full of amazing talent. I love the visual art and performers. Check the video to see what you missed.

I downloaded this album recently and have been jamming in the car for the last week. The mix of blues riffs and Hip Hop vocals in the 70-90 BPM range offers a solid blend of styles and sounds. BlackRoc is the collaboration of The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, providing the instrumentals and guest vocals from Mos Def, RZA, Raekwon, Pharoae Monch, Q-Tip, Jim Jones, Nikki Wray, Billy Danze and Noe.
