Taking over “The Sound” on Proton

Lance Cashion has asked me to take over his massively popular show, “The Sound” on Proton Radio. Lance has been working with Proton for the last 5 years and has been a major part of their success. He compiled their first compilation which was sold on iTunes and helped them establish a relationship with Beatport. This is a major opportunity and something that I plan to take very seriously. Sam and Jay at Proton are both amazing guys with an amazing amount of energy and dedication to Electronic music. I’m stoked to have the opportunity to work with them and bring my “Sound” to “The Sound”. Look for me on the 4th Friday of every month from 2-4 PM CST.

On that note, a quick public thanks to Lance for everything he has ever done for me, both with music and just being a general great friend. I hope you nothing but the best in your new ventures and can only hope to fill your massively huge shoes.

Just a tiny bit of history, I first met Lance at The Red Room in Austin in 2000 while I was setting up the DJ booth for John Digweed. We hit it off and have since put on some amazing shows including Hybrid, Sander Kleinenberg, Chris Fortier, Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M and others.

September 3rd, 2007 - 5th Annual SemiAudiks Boatparty

This event is completely sold out. This party was supposed to take place on June 30th but was rescheduled due to Lake Travis being closed because of TOO MUCH RAIN???!!! The lineup has changed a bit from Toy and Merrick Brown and Alex T to Austin’s dubstep king, Grommit, and Austin’s most well known promoter and dj, Toddy B. If you are lucky enough to have tickets, I will see you there, if not, get your tickets early next year.
